10/12/2014

This article examines how Lithuania faces pressure not only from external propaganda sources, but also from internal structures that amplify, normalise or reproduce hostile narratives. The piece points out that while Russian media influence is usually discussed as an external threat, part of the problem lies inside the country: youth organisations, cultural initiatives, media projects and informal groups that consciously or unconsciously spread Kremlin-aligned messaging.

The author calls for stronger institutional awareness, clearer responsibility among public authorities, and a coordinated national approach to protecting Lithuania’s information space from both external and internal influence.
