SUMMARY
“An inaccurate marking on the map could cost the country tens or even hundreds of meters of territory, which is why, when negotiating borders with our neighbors, we would sharpen our pencils very thin,” ambassador Petras Zapolskas recounts.
In his conversation with Artūras Jonkus, ambassador P. Zapolskas talks about the early days of diplomatic work, when many people at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were students in their final university years. He also recalls his assignments in Sweden, Italy, and to the Holy See.
