SUMMARY
“It was 1995, I was sitting at my desk. A deputy minister walked into my office and said, ‘Voveris, you’re going to China.’ That’s how my diplomatic mission in China began,” recalls Ambassador Ginutis Dainius Voveris. “I lived in a hotel for about four months until I finally got the chance to move into a small office space.”
In his conversation with Artūras Jonkus, Ambassador Voveris explains that China showed interest in Lithuania immediately after the restoration of independence. The first agreement between Lithuania and China was signed as early as 1992.
