Communications Expert on Sinkevičius Becoming Prime Minister: A Government Too Late
Over the past year and a half, the Social Democrats have formed their third governing coalition. The new coalition—comprising the Social Democrats, the Democrats, and the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union—will command 75 seats in the Seimas. The government is expected to be led by Mindaugas Sinkevičius, chairman of the Social Democratic Party, who will replace Inga Ruginienė, who has served as Prime Minister for less than a year.
