CONVERSATION
10/23/2024
SUMMARY
“My love for theatre and mountaineering helped me as an ambassador. There was a well-known group called the ‘Courtyard Theatre,’ where I had the chance to perform. Theatre taught me to view life as a stage, while mountaineering built my endurance,” says Ambassador Algirdas Kumža, Signatory of the Act of Independence.
In his conversation with Artūras Jonkus, Ambassador Kumža talks about being elected to the Supreme Council, his work in business, the founding of the Taras Shevchenko Foundation, Lithuania’s cultural ties with Ukraine, and his ambassadorial term in Ukraine.
